And actually it’s not the grip pen which is new, but the tablet, which *Novere sent to me because she’s the BEST person ever!!!

Oh yeah and my other tablet? It’s beyond hope, it’s obvious now that it’s a hardware defect. I’ll send it in for repair somtimes when I have the money, so I can always have a replacement tablet (and one at work and one at home, so I don’t have to keep dragging it around)

Summer vs Winter

A drawing of Ravel, summer vs winter fur.

I guess I will redraw this sometimes, but basically in winter, he gets a really thick white coat, which sheds in spring, resulting in tuffs of white fur flocking off when he moves.

Meiryo, sitting on a thumbstone.

Alone, caught in his dreams, sulking because he has no idea how to get out or what to do.

This plays pretty much after he’s met Nuumea.
I think originally this played in the timeline of the story before he met Nuumea, but now it probably plays somewhere when she’s lost her in the dream world.

I lied

This is a very random comic page without any actual story or without being canon, featuring Riku (the anthromorphic dragonish critter) and LS (the big one) roaming some unknown cave or building.

The dialogue was inspired by the free flash game “Coma”

Basically LS is Riku’s guardian, and her intentions are far from harming her, even though she seems very sinister in these panels.
Guardians may not like to lie to their owners, as they would technically in a way or another lie to themselves, but sometimes lies are nessecairy to prevent a much greater evil.

Anyway, I wanted to make a test page and see how well I can manage any sort of character interaction and paneling and all these things which are the key to doing comics.
I must admit, I still really like the outcome!

Just some facial studies of Ravel

I’ve modelled a quick and small head of him in clay before and took photos from different angles because he gave me quite some troubles with his headshape.

I think I’ve it figured out now.
Character studies are important, and making some small 3D models to get them nailed down can really help!
